The association PROYDE (Promotion and Development) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 1988 with a prioritized social objective: Cooperation towards global development. According to its statutes, the association´s ultimate goal is the promotion and development of persons within impoverished countries, by means of collaborative projects, and development programs.

In order to fulfill this mission, PROYDE works on:

Programs and Development Projects in impoverished countries, especially within the fields of educational rights.

The transformations of social, political, and economic structures, which are the main cause of inequality, injustice and exclusion. Also, on the change in the principles and ideologies that help contribute to the maintenance of these unequal structures, via: education for development and awareness, advocacy campaigns, the promotion of volunteer work, and the compromise to Fair Trade and Responsible Consumption.

Because of its strong connections to the brothers of the Christian school- La Salle, PROYDE is offering of all members of the Lasallian family, and through them the entire society, as a privileged channel who advocates solidarity for the forthcoming environment and for the impoverished countries. The brotherhood, the right to an education, and the personal conversion are all base to this strong linkage.

Strength, Guarantee, and Reliability

Our association is a network fundamentally interweaved, although not exclusively, with the Educational Centers of La Salle within our region. Close to 40,000 families of La Salle consider PROYDE their NGO of reference. Our association has transformed into the preferential channel, in which they express their habitual solidarity. This gives PROYDE a special strength and stability.

In addition, our Projects´ selection process, financing, execution, monitoring, and evaluation have demonstrated efficiency and productivity, which has allowed us to count on our credibility, not only in our partners and supporters, but also in the public and private entities that give part of their resources in order to cooperate with our objectives.

PROYDE was declared an entity of Public Utility in 1998. It complies with an annual voluntary economic audit, as well as a LOYALTY foundation audit of ¨Transparency and Good Practice of NGO´s¨ which covers the fulfillment of action principles, organization and management.
Because of this, the Association PROYDE is socially recognized as an NGO coherent with its mission, and thrives with a prestigious reputation for its accomplished labor in Education for Development, Social Awareness, Political Influence, Promotion of Volunteer Work, and the realization of Development Projects.

Transparency, Good Practices, and Good Government

PROYDE voluntarily submits to the reports of ¨Transparency and Good Practices¨ of the LOYALTY Foundation and the reports of ¨Transparency and Good Government¨ of Spain´s Non-Governmental Organization Coordinator of Development (CONGDE).
The last reports, of both organizations, had resulted positively for PROYDE.
