Information About Donations
To make a donation, you do NOT need to register as a user. You should only register as a user if you wish to receive a certificate of donation from PROYDE for tax exemption purposes.
If you would like to make a donation, go to the web page for the project of your choice and click on the button that reads “FINANCE THIS PROJECT” in the margin to the right of the project information. From here, follow the instructions until your donation has been made.
A window with the option “Acknowledgement” or “Without Acknowledgement” will appear. Typically, our projects have an “Acknowledgements” section, which lists all project commitments made, with donors listed by donation amount. PROYDE does not discriminate based on donation amount, or the extent to which the donor wishes to participate in the financing of any given project. Our commitments apply to all donors and can be found here: Commitments of Change the World and PROYDE.
Payments can be made via PayPal or bank transfer.
When a donation is made with PayPal, Change the World registers the donation and updates the project’s financial information. PayPal payments are sent immediately and do not require further action or confirmation by PROYDE or Change the World.
Bank transfer payments are treated by PROYDE and Change the World as an intention to donate until the payment is authorized by the donor’s bank. The intention to donate will be registered by Change the World so that when the Accounting Department at PROYDE receives word of the transfer, the donation can be confirmed by Change the World administrators.
Donor names and amounts appear in the “Donors” tab of the expanded project information.
More Ways to Support Change the World
Share Change the World projects with friends and on social networks. Links are available for Facebook, Twitter, Google +, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
If you have a blog or website, you can insert a Change the World project link. Click “Embed” and paste the code on your site.
Send an email to friends about Change the World. Suggest that they visit our site and consider donating to a project that interests them.
